Table For Two

In our living room there is a shelf in the corner.  On the shelf sits a small wooden box.  I don't know if you've ever noticed the box.  Or noticed me stashing things in there.  But there it remains, full of my treasures that signify my life with you.
Come again coupon from our first date.  Since then, I've never again needed to ask for a table for one.

Wrist bracelets from Atlantis.  What a vacation that was.  Free room service on our "fun day at sea" and an all you can eat, 24-hour ice cream bar.  I was in heaven.  You simply laughed when I wasn't hungry for dinner the first night because I had over indulged in my eagerness to eat all the ice cream.

Movie tickets for every. movie. we've. ever. seen.  I have them all.  Even the bad ones.  Do you remember Wolfman?  Our first movie together, I got to choose.  And wow, did I choose poorly.  You never let me live that one down.

Hampton Inn pen.  Our trip to St. Augustine.  I can't believe how sunburnt we got.  Aloe become our new best friend.  While recovering, we avoided the sun and laid in bed watching HGTV together (little did you know of my addiction to HGTV at that point...).  And snuck out after the sun went down for the some ice cream.

A piece of Jive Moss fabric that we stole borrowed from the furniture store.  I didn't want to admit to the store owners that I couldn't afford their furniture.  So we asked for a sample of fabric to take home and compare to our "decor" before making our final decision and bolted out the door.  They're probably still waiting for us to come back.

There are countless more items in the box that I could go on and on about.  You'll call me overly sentimental, but I'm ok with that.  I just can't help smiling at all the memories this box holds.  And I can only imagine how many more memories we're going to add to it.
