They loved him from the moment they first knew he existed. Loved him in a way you can't explain. It's strong. It's powerful. It's life altering. He was born into the world and they counted them, ten fingers and ten long toes. He was perfect in every way.
Andrew Jonathan. To us, Drew.
This past Sunday he was officially two weeks old. Perfect time for his first photoshoot. The forecast threatened rain, but we were fortunate to have almost too bright skies overhead. My sister asked that we shoot on the playground in their neighborhood despite it not being a very treesy (yes, it is a word) area. We were able to find a small shaded area on the playground and we spent the time working in that area.
Drew has yet to realize that he is the nephew of a photographer so he is still a little uncomfortable with the sound of the shutter. We're working on it...
Sleeping was definitely encouraged. I mean, talk about precious!
When he was born the first thing everyone said was Look at those long toes! Ok, it may have not been the first thing said, but it was close. They may be long, but they're cute. All ten of them.
