Although nine times out of ten I can't understand a word he says, that doesn't mean Drew is any less determined to get his point across. He will furrow his brow and give me a look of utter frustration and then continue to repeat the same words that I was unable to understand the first time he said them. Obviously repetition does not always bring clarity.
This month, Drew celebrated his second birthday. And even though he was hard to understand, it was more than clear that he knew the day was all about him.
I'm not sure who was more excited about the opening of presents, Drew, Cameron....or Shayna.
It appears that Drew's goal was to wear more cake than he consumed. I think he succeeded.
My little Drew, two years ago I witnessed you being brought into this world. Every day you grow, you're becoming more and more the person you were born to be. My only wish for you on this, your second birthday, is that you continue to face this ever-changing world with the innocence and awe that you face today with.
