Yes, we're competitive. Yes, about everything. Getting home first. Finishing their cupcake first. Seeing the most Jeeps in a car ride. Fantasy football. There's not much we don't compete about. But not only are we competitive, but we're sore losers too. Losing only drives us to start a new game, a new competition as a means to redeem ourselves.
So when Jason asks me if want to go shoot at a pool hall, I'm all in. I won't walk away from a challenge. Now typically, pool is my forte. I can think back to quite a few games I've hustled; a lot of bets I've won. But its been a long time since I had a table in my own house, so I'm a little rusty. Competing against Jason (of course) is no easy feat either, having learned how to play from a professional pool player. So winning this type of challenge is a test of my skill, not to mention my stubbornness.
We trash talk all the way to the pool hall. And through the first couple games. Just because I love him, doesn't mean I'm about to give him any slack. If you ask him, he'll probably say he dominated the games.
But for the record.....I won.
