Curled up on the couch, I'm recovering from a pleasantly worn out day. The house has been put back in order, the floors mopped up, the dishes washed. Once again the house is quiet. Though I enjoy the peace and quiet of my house after a long day, I wouldn't trade all the noise that filled it throughout today. My nephew is the biggest bundle of energy I've ever met. But he expends all of that energy while being utterly adorable. So much so that I want to pick him up, put him in my pocket and carry him around with me. All day. Every day.
We chased puppies through the park, squished tomatoes in the backyard and transported rocks back and forth from the living room to the dining room. Did you know that you can occupy a child for at least a half an hour with a pile of rocks? I didn't. But clearly I've been missing out. You can make piles with them. And then move the piles. And then roll the rocks. And then slide them. Throwing them was frowned upon, but attempted none-the-less. And if all else fails? You can put them in a plastic container and tote them around.
Oh and then there's Jason. Cameron's best friend. Every item of possession has to be given to Jason to see. Every book is better if he's in Jason's lap, though sitting in his lap will catch Jason off guard every time. He even rolls his jeans just like Jason. Just give him a few years and he'll be playing bass too...

The magnets are a highlight of the house as well.
But the best part of the day? Chicken doused in ketchup. This kid loves ketchup. But no meal is complete if it is not worn...
And then rinsed off under the faucet.
