I have been so fortunate in my life to be surrounded by beautiful people. And I mean truly beautiful. Inside and out. Among them are my sister and her family. Every six months or so I get a phone call. The "can we do a new photoshoot" phone call. My sister always asks me so cautiously. As though I might say no. Is she CRAZY? Secretly, I live for those phone calls. I simply adore photographing her family.
Not long after the initial question, comes the standard second question, "what should we wear?" Although I patronize her with the normal answers I give, Try to look natural, Don't be too matchy-matchy, Denim looks awesome outdoors, what I really want to say to her is, Shayna, you will look amazing no matter what you wear! And without fail, she always delivers.
Cameron, just over a year old, is rapidly developing an infectious personality. I could listen to him calling out every boat or plane or puppy that he see all day. Every. day. I love this family. In every way possible. And I'm so lucky I get to call them my family.
The lighting was absolutely delicious in my backyard. Cameron was far more intent on everything other than my camera, but we went with it.
I'm thrilled with the outcome.
