As we sat in their living room, Alicia and Matt told me the story of their relationship, of the love they had for each other. They talked of wanting their wedding day to be a reflection of that love. To say that the day exceeded that reflection would be an understatement. Every single guest and family member commented on Alicia's vivacious love of life and of Matt. And they talked equally of Matt's quiet adoration of Alicia.
Surrounded by the pine trees of their family's estate and the love of all their closest friends and family, Matt and Alicia pledged their future to one another, a future that promises unending happiness.
Alicia and Matt - Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't describe how it felt to be welcomed into your lives and into your family on Saturday. Watching you both speak your vows to each other made me feel as though I was watching my dear friends pledge the rest of their lives. I'm so excited to see what your future together holds for you! I hope you're enjoying every moment of your honeymoon in NC - soak in some sand and sun for me! xoxo
I absolutely LOVE shooting weddings at private residences. Every aspect of the day becomes so unique to the couple and is unlike anything else. Matt and Alicia's wedding was no exception. I mean, look at this ceremony site!
Details were is mass supply. Every single one appeared to have been hand-picked.
Months ago when I asked Alicia if she had a theme for her wedding day, she hesitated. Then, with a small grin growing into a huge smile she said, "Burlap and Bedazzled!" To see that theme carried out on Saturday to the degree that it was, was awesome.
The florals were gorgeous and perfectly accented the day.
I'm a sucker for a cute ring bearer! Jasper was no exception.
Matt's family works in the cotton industry so it was important to them to carry that theme into some of their details.
Alicia and Matt chose not to see each other for a First Look; however they wanted a chance to be together prior to the ceremony. They were able to hold hands and hear each other's voices - it was a beautiful moment to be there for.
Did I already mention how awesome this ceremony site was?
After the ceremony we snuck away for some portraits - my favorite part of the day! And though it had been threatening to rain ALL day, we were given a beautifully overcast sky. The lighting was delicious!
Oh you two! Go on!
Thank you, Grandma, for letting us use your porch!
I can't say enough about the AH-MAZING floral and event design. Jamey and his team from Brush & Bramble put together a stunning event. I could have spent hours photographing every little detail that was put into the day.
And to end the night?
One word: FIREWORKS. Oh yes. (a special thank you to Jason for capturing this last shot!)
