Every night before I go to bed I think about what the next day holds, what I want to accomplish. I mentally prepare my one-day-at-a-time To Do lists. It helps me to stay focused and balance the reality of working a full-time job while also running a photography business. There are days though that I want to think beyond tomorrow's To Do list, days where I want to think BIGGER. Days where I want MORE.
I'm greedy. With a capital G. Let's just put that out there. So when I have a taste of something I like I simply can't get enough of it. In reading books I find that I devour each and every word. I seek out the psychological undertones; I read between the lines; I continue the story and lives of the characters beyond the last word on the last page. When I sit down to eat, just a sample of the menu isn't enough. I want to embrace the culture of the food I'm eating. I want to surround myself with the environment.
This is more than desire for more words, for a heightened environment. It is a desire for an EXPERIENCE. I don't just want more out of my books or out of my food. I want more out of my LIFE.
So here's to focusing less one-day-at-a-time To Do lists and focusing more on life-changing To Do lists.
