Kelly & Jared: A St. Simons Island Wedding

As we walked to end of the dock, Jared expressed to me just how nervous he was.  All he wanted was to finally see his bride.  And so he stood and waited with baited breath and shaking hands for that moment.  Then he heard her voice, heard her laughter, as she approached and his whole being was overcome.  He turned, held her at arms length and he looked at her in complete awe as his eyes brimmed with tears.  Kelly, his beautiful bride, stood before him looking more radiant than he ever could have imagined.

Yesterday was full of moments like this.  In front of friends and family, with heartfelt tears in their eyes, Kelly and Jared pledged their hearts, souls and lives to each other.

Jared and Kelly - thank you so much for letting me into your lives and into your friendship for the last year and a half.  It was an absolute privilege to photograph your beautiful wedding and to capture the love you have for one another.  Yesterday, so many of your friends and family described you as selfless.  I can find a no more fitting word than that, as you truly are selfless in your love for each other and for others.  I wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
After a week of rain, the skies parted for a sun-filled day at the private residence of Kelly's parents, on St. Simons Island.

Words can't express how excited Jared was as he waited to be greeted by his bride.

I was ecstatic when Kelly told me that they had decided to have a First Look before the wedding.  This intimate, private moment was one of the most lovely times of the day.  I think Jared's expression says everything.

The entire bridal party cleaned up beautifully, but Kelly was simply stunning.

Immediately after the ceremony, we snuck away to beach nearby to capture a few more stolen moments.

This image simply makes me want to swoon.

The newlyweds happily danced the afternoon away, having eyes only for each other.
