Shayna: A Birthday in Style

When we get together we laugh.  And we laugh loudly.  Most of the time we don't even need a reason.  Just being together creates an infectiously happy environment.  We understand each other's random outbursts and bizarre thought patterns.  We talk so fast that it's obvious we're from the North and are aware that no one around us can keep up.  We know the punchlines to each other's jokes, but still laugh excessively when they're delivered.  Sometimes we're even telepathic.

It's a sister thing.

So when my big sister's BIRTHDAY arrived, I knew we had to celebrate in style, with just the two of us and with A LOT of laughter.  I showed up at her work, bags packed, full tank of gas and a surprise weekend in store.  With the Haja sisters in route, Charleston wasn't going to know what hit it.

We wined and dined at the fantastic Oak Steakhouseover-indulging my food obsession.  The meal, the service and the free shots at the stroke of Shayna's official birthday were more than we could have asked for.

Staying at the Andrew Pinckney Inn was like floating on a cloud.  The spacious suite was swanky.  Us sisters like to travel with class and style.  And breakfast on the rooftop?  Yes, please!

We toured the city and took in the sights.

Shayna.....you're the best sister a girl could ask for.  I love you and wish you only the ABSOLUTE best for the next 30 years.  Secretly I know that they're going to be that much better than the last 30.  Happy Birthday.
