A Sunday Morning Drive

I really have no idea how it started.  The counting, I mean.  But we do it every time.  We drive out to the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge and we count the alligators.  Maybe its because I could never go see alligators before I moved here, unless I went to the zoo.  Maybe its just because they're simply awesome reptiles.  Or maybe its because its something we do together.
We rolled down the windows and felt the warm breeze, in January.  And reminded ourselves why we love living in the south.

He makes this face every time I take his picture.  Every.  Time.  And I'm not exaggerating.
5 miles.  16 alligators.  4 turtles (you can't forget the turtles).
