Taking in All the Moments

I always worry that I miss moments.  That by putting my camera to my eye and concentrating on composition, exposure, angles, I am no longer taking part in what's going on.  There are times when this bothers me to point of putting my camera away.  I leave it at home or in the other room.  The ironic twist is when I leave home without it, all I see are shots that I could have taken, moments I could have captured.

So maybe this is my way of experiencing moments.  Maybe there's nothing wrong with always being behind the camera.  Because if I didn't have these images, I wouldn't be able to relive them the next day, or the day after that, or a year from now.

My parents have been in town vising this past week.  Our time together with them always seems to fly by, faster than I'd like it to.  These are just some of the moments I'm grateful my camera wasn't in the other room.

We all spent an afternoon in the garden plucking tomatoes....and squeezing them!

Cameron forgets that after squeezing the tomato, there's nothing left to hold onto.
