Much to my sister's delight, I am making a list. She makes lists about everything. And makes them weeks in advance, sometimes month. What to buy at the grocery store, what to do on Saturday, what to bring on vacation. I can literally make a list of her lists. I wish I was exaggerating. None-the-less here I am, taking a page out of her book. I'm making a list of all the things I need to do before going to Paris. As its just a month and a half away now, my mind is reeling from all there is to do in preparation. I'll be honest, I'm not very good at list making. My general way of thinking is that I could accomplish most of what is on the list in the time it takes me to create the list. But here I am giving it a go. And since we live in the technological age, my list is on my phone, so I can check things off and add to it wherever I am. It's much more fun to have an electronic check mark.
To date my list is up to 16 items, 3 of which we've marked complete. That's right, three electronic check marks! I'm aware that how excited I get about these check marks just reinforces how un-cool I am. Don't judge.
So my list (the abridged version) goes something like this:
- Buy Jason a coat
- Week long metro tickets
- Big memory card
- Hotel tax
- International phone
- Learn French
I think this only makes sense to me and probably isn't entirely realistic and achievable. But like I said, I'm not very good at list making.
