Everyone uses the phrase. It's just like riding a bike. As though riding a bike is that simple. I for one can state that its not. I used to ride as a kid. My family and I would take long afternoon rides throughout the neighborhood. But that was 17 years ago. Last year I made a valiant attempt to mount a bike. It turned disastrous. So today when Jason said to me, I know what we should do today, we should go bike riding, I shuddered to myself. I warned him. I may need knee pads. What if I fall? What if I crash? You've never seen me on two wheels. It's not pretty. But he was determined none the less.
And so I pedaled. And wobbled. And stopped. And started. And skidded. For an hour. Lucky for me, Jason only chuckled. Once.
Then something awesome and unexpected happened. I stayed upright.
