I've read it a thousand times. It's likely I'll read it a thousand times more. It's the book I've carried with me since high school. Collecting copes everywhere I went. One of the greatest works of 19th century literature, first published in 1813.
Pride & Prejudice
I'm sure not everyone will agree with me here, as everyone has their special book. But for me, this is it. It's funny, romantic and gives such a deep and detailed view into the lives of a family in the 1800s. Mr Darcy.....the epitome of a perfect man. *Sigh* I'm not kidding when I say that I look for copies of it everywhere. I'm always searching for another binding, or a new publishing of it. To date I have five copies of the book and two movies of the same name. I have the annotated version, the version published in 1933, and the complete bound set of Jane Austen's novels. I even have the digital copy on my Kindle.
Some might imply that I'm a bit obsessive about this. But alas. Some people collect ceramic fish. I collect this book.
