The Leaf Saga

Leaves.

This weekend brought with it temperatures in the upper 70s, brimming on 80.  You could sense spring rapidly approaching.  This is the weather that tempts you to roll down your windows and cruise to the beach.  To throw open the doors and turn the heat off.  To plant new flowers and vegetables.

If only I felt spring coming.  If only I could find the flower beds in which to plant new flowers.  If only there weren't....

leaves.

Yes leaves.  Everywhere.  Under the steps.  In the bushes.  On the patio table.

Leaves.

The worst part?  After raking 19 fifty gallon bags worth of leaves, I looked up.  The trees were not bare.  As I stood there a sudden warm breeze lifted the hair on my neck.  Suddenly, leaves started to sprinkle down around me, covering the yard I had just found again.
