The Ideal Solution to Not Being Able to Rearrange Furniture

Boxes stacked in the corner.  The smell of cardboard lingers in the dining room.  Yes, it's that time of year.  The time of year to pack up all my belongings and move to a new apartment.

Moving again.

In the 5 1/2 years I've lived in Savannah, my new apartment will be the 6th place I've lived.  Most people hear how often I move and think I'm crazy.  In one way of looking at it, it is the exaggerated version of rearranging furniture.  And to anyone who's known me for long knows about my compulsive habit of rearranging furniture.  In the middle of the night.  A Saturday afternoon.  First thing in the morning.  It really doesn't matter.  If it has been a couple of months and I haven't rearranged a room, there might be something wrong.  I like variety.  So why not take that to the extreme?  When I can no longer rearrange a room, I just move to a new apartment!

After living at my current apartment, it's clear that this has been my favorite place in this city to live.  The light is  beautiful at almost all hours of the day.  I have exposed wood along my front wall.  How great is that?  If you aren't allowed to paint, its much easier to live with beige when an entire wall is wood!

The location is ideal.  Within walking distance of my favorite bakery in town.  Although being that close to a bakery may not be the best thing for me.  Can I rationalize it with the fact that on occasion I really do walk there?

And I've made some friends along the way (some enemies if you count Ricky, my squirrel, but I won't count him).

All in all it has been a great place to live, but I can't wait to see what my new neighborhood holds in store for me.

Less squirrels?
