Music plays softly in the background. A bowl game flickers on the television. I sit curled up under a blanket staring off into the distance. I'm trying to figure out where the past year has gone. To say it sped by like a freight train would probably be an understatement. I wish more days were like today. Slower. Warmer. Happier. Today was the perfect combination of all of those.
The National Wildlife Refuge is a beautiful place to go on a Saturday afternoon, or any afternoon for that matter. The lighting was particularly nice today. Not to mention it gave me a chance to really use my new Canon lens.
I think that's about how much patience he had left with me after snapping off a few pictures....
He was more cooperative once I got in the picture...or at least he patronized me.
So my New Year's resolution is to make more time for days like this. Slower. Warmer. Happier days. Just like today was.
