The End of Putting Things Off

A collection of books sits on my bookshelf.  Books filled with images and descriptions of far off places I've yet to see.  Places I dream of seeing.  I used to say that before I turned 25, I wanted to travel to Europe.  But that milestone came and went.  I'm sure I could reset the goal, changing the age from 25 to 30 and hope that it would turn out more successfully than my previous goal.  For me, though, a five year window just isn't motivating enough.  So no longer will I say I'm going to try and plan a trip to Europe in the near fuure.

I'm going to Europe this year.

Paris:  The Louvre.  Versailles.  The Arch de Triumph.

If you keep telling yourself that you'll go when you have the time.  Or you'll go when you have the money.  It's obvious that you'll never go.  Because there really never is time, or enough money.  But if you tell yourself that you're going, no matter what.  Then you'll figure out how to make the time and save the money.

So,  late September, I'm going.  That's all I need to know, the details will work themselves out.
